This is the moment a brave newsagent single-handedly stopped a crook after he was threatened with a broken wine bottle.

The dramatic footage captures Steven Kilby pathetically brandishing the razor-sharp weapon - but is shut down by the heroic shop assistant within seconds.

Kilby, 30, who had his sunglasses placed on his head so the cameras could see his face, had been loitering around the shop before trying to rob the cash machine.
