Thousands of starling caught swarming over sunset
  • 5 years ago
This is the mesmerizing moment thousands of starlings are caught on film moving together over the sunset. Marco Campazas, 39, spotted the flock of birds swarming through the sky while he was driving through Logrono City, northern Spain, on Christmas day. He pulled over and captured the last seconds of their incredible display - twisting and merging together ''like a lava lamp''.The admin worker, who is a keen amateur photographer, said: ''I was driving my car and through the window noticed the birds.''I stopped straight away and filmed them. It was quite lucky to see them like this. It was just during sunset just before their bed time. ''I managed to capture the end of their display before they all landed and went to sleep for the evening. It's a beautiful scene and not one that you see every day.''
