Businessman has phone snatched from hand by masked thief on moped

The two crooks drove up behind the unsuspecting victim as he was walking along a pavement and nabbed the mobile he was texting on before speeding off. City Police released the footage of the incident, which took place near to the Barbican Centre in London in November, to remind people not to put their phone on display where possible. They warn that checking the news in the street or even just replying to a message could leave your phone stolen in seconds. Phone thieves riding motorbikes and mopeds operate across the capital,and take advantage of people who have their focus elsewhere - for instance waiting to cross a road.
