High Society – New Black Eagles 1987

In 1987 the great New Black Eagle Jazz Band celebrated their 15th year anniversary and they threw a big weekend with concerts and a mini festival in their hometown Boston
Our Climax Jazz Band had been invited as well. On the Friday the Eagles played a concert in a large concert hall and since we had arrived as well, but did not have to play yet this gave me chance to try out my new Sony video camera. In those days these were rather heavy machines but together with my wife I managed to films some 80 minutes of that wonderful weekend. I have posted several clips before but going through it again I noticed some that weren’t done.
In this clip the band plays High Society. We see Tony Pringle on cornet, Stan Vincent trombone, special guest Butch Thompson clarinet, Bob Pilsbury piano, Peter Bullis banjo Eli Newberger tuba and Pam Pameijer drums.
