Connecting the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe, the Avenue des Champs Elysées in Paris, France, is grandiose in style. It begins at the Place de la Concorde and runs for just over a mile East- West through a flat area to begin with then rising in the second part to reach the Place Charles-de-Gaulle-Etoile where the Arc de Triomphe stands.
