History of Internet

Internet, or in more technical words, the world-wide-web (denoted as WWW in short), is a medium through which the world connects and communicates. Yes, it is primarily just a mode of connection and communication, similar (or in some sense, even exactly the same) to mediums and inventions that have shaped our world for the last five millennia. As the world became larger and bigger, so did its communication needs and the mode through which it communicated. No longer was it possible to simply communicate everything on the telephone that once revolutionised the world in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Now, the need of the hour was to develop something even more revolutionary as letters became more complex and academia wanted quick and efficient mode of communication.
