M60 Main Battle Tank - L3 Destroyer M60A3

The M60A3 is one hell of a tank and we all know the classic and historically iconic M60of tanks. But did you know that the tank is still to this day being updated with new upgrades? Well in this video I go over some of the new features that the next generation of M60 tanks have and how it is able to fulfill its next combat role commitment with some help from L3 communications. \r

L3 will soon offer an upgrade package for the venerable M60A3 main battle tank, to mitigate the obsolescence (sic) of aging M60s around the world and keep them somewhat still relevant in a modern battlefield. \r
improvements include:\r

-A 120mm cannon\r
-A 1200hp engine\r
-Better turret and cannon electronics (drives, optics, FCS, gunner controls)\r
-Turret slat armor\r
\r
Doesnt look like there are more interesting offerings (ERA or applique armor, for example), since I guess SLEP is primarily meant to be a dirt-cheap update for nations who still use the M60 but cant afford more extravagant technological step-ups or making the jump to more modern platforms.\r
