Michigan State University to pay US$500 million to Larry Nassar's sexual abuse victims

Michigan State University has agreed to pay 500 million U.S. dollars to hundreds of American gymnasts sexually abused by its former professor and ex-team USA doctor Larry Nassar.
Nassar had received a prison sentence of up to 175 years for sexually molesting the athletes under the guise of medical treatment and is also serving a 60-year sentence for child pornography.
Wednesday's deal calls for Michigan State University to pay 332 victims 425 million dollars who have made a claim and another 75 million for any future allegations against Nassar and the school.
