Japan's foreign ministry has once again made false claims over South Korea's Dokdo island.
In a report to Japan's cabinet, the ministry maintained its stance over Dokdo, and also claimed that the waters between Korea and Japan, known as the East Sea, should be called the 'Sea of Japan' under international standards.
The latest claims could damage South Korea-Japan relations... which seemed to be improving after the two countries held three-way talks with China for the first time in years recently,... and promised close coordination over North Korea and other issues.
