Meet the Garmin Forerunner 630, 235 & 230

Garmin Forerunner 230, Forerunner 235, and Forerunner 630 preview video. These are the latest GPS running watches from Garmin, replacing the FR220, FR225, and FR620. Basically, heres what Garmin added to these devices:\r

- Larger display (44% larger)\r
- GLONASS\r
- Phone notifications\r
- Activity & sleep tracking\r
- Access to Connect IQ\r
- VIRB ion camera & music controls\r
- Live tracking\r
- Better battery life\r
- New data screens for HR and V02Max\r
\r
For the FR630, Garmin also added new running dynamics stats including vertical oscillation ratio, ground cont time balance, and stride length. This will all be shown in real-time to users alongside vertical oscillation, ground cont time, and cadence, if youre using the HRM-Run heart rate monitor, which is probably the best runners heart rate monitor. \r

To the Forerunner630, Garmin also added a stress indicator test, performance condition test, and lic build up test, all of which Im highly skeptical of. Not sure how Id use this data. \r

As far as the FR235, that was a huge surprise to me. After all, Garmin had just released the FR225 a few months back. The FR235 will feature that larger screen, GLONASS, improved battery life, live tracking, and more. The one big this is Garmin swapped out the Mio sensor for a proprietary HRM.\r
