LOT flight 7 crashed near Okęcie Airport in Warsaw, Poland, on 14 March 1980, with 87 passengers on board. After a safe 9-hour flight the aircraft was less than one kilometre away from its final destination, when an explosion occurred. What caused that terrible catastrophe?
