Peter Lamarr - Never Take You For Granted

Peter Lamarr sings "Never Take You For Granted". Peter comes from Detroit and spent about twenty years performing with The Drifters. We were so excited to get to work with him. Firstly we recorded this beautiful mid tempo song "Never Take You For Granted". It was also on a vinyl seven inch, on the B side of his Northern Stomper "Under Lock And Key". We also teamed Peter Lamarr together with Gina Foster for an amazing duet of "Miracles". This wonderful song is from my "Soul Steppers" album which was released back in February 2009. An album of "Modern-Room" style Northern Soul. Classic retro soul, owing more homage to Gamble and Huff, the sound of Philadelphia and the mid 1970's rhythms, than the usual Sixties style. Midtempo and Uptempo soulful sizzlers to warm the embers of your heart, and take your feet totally out of control. The album features songs by Rosetta Hightower, Noel McKoy, Odette Adams, Tahira Jumah, Jay Harvey, Pearly Gates, The Flirtations, Janine Johnson, Michael Lloyd Pinq, Kitty Corbin and a few major surprises. As the legendary Blackpool Mecca building got pulled down, this album shows that they can pull down the building but they can never take away the music. Music can lift us and make us forget what the world has to throw at us, and this album is designed to do just that.
