Judy Duff - Weak Spot

Judy Duff's utterly amazing version of my first Evelyn Thomas hit, "Weak Spot", is the perfect re-make of a hit which led to an innocent fresh faced young unknown from Chicago appearing on Top Of The Pops in February 1976. And of course this is yet another performance from my album, "Yesterday And Tomorrow". This lovely lady is the lead singer of a Birmingham Soul Band called The Nu Soul Generation. They are an explosive, dynamic, high-energy, high-calibre, solid soul sound experience. Tight vocals, sublime horns and pulsating rhythm section, who take you on a ride, on a breath-taking journey from 60's & 70's Motown and Atlantic, through to 80's & 00's Disco & Soul. Formed from a collective of professional soul musicians, each with many years and performance experience behind them. Masters of their instruments, and bringing a fresh feel to the tried and tested covers of classic Soul and Disco songs. The tight rhythm and horn section explodes into a scintillating floor-filling frenzy from the very outset of their opening musical bars. Lead vocalist, Judy Duff, has worked with esteemed UK soul and contemporary music artists, and is a sought after session singer. Delivering a powerful stage and vocal mix means that their many gigs are a complete success. The repertoire consists primarily of classic and contemporary soul music, Tamla Motown, Stax and funk covers. One of the hottest 9-piece soul bands in the entire country, performing a sublime cocktail of soul, funk and disco floor fillers. A Cool band with a fresh and vibrant feel. Judy was so in tune with the music I was making that she'd been buying my albums and wanted to be a part of my earlier album, "Yesterday And Tomorrow". An album of new versions of my old classic songs, and what a happy turn of fate that she contacted me at just the right time to be the proud performer of this classic.
