Her previous single, "High Energy" sold seven million worldwide. Faced with the monumental task of finding a follow up, we made "Masquerade", and lost the chance of another million seller. In retrospect it's easy to wish we'd done things differently, but we can't rewrite history. It may not have been a major pop hit, but it was certainly a Record Shack high energy classic. Record Shack spent ten thousand pounds on this video, which in those days, back in 1984, was an absolute fortune for a video.
