Well, we all know that lately, veteran filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been casting Deepika Padukone consecutively for the past three years or so as the leading lady. So, here we have some great news for all the fans. Reportedly, we are going to witness some fresh chemistry in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next venture titled ‘ Padmavati'. Yes! You read it right. Deepika Padukone is going to be the lead actress while Shahid Kapoor has been approached to play the role of her husband. So, apparently the two are going to romance each other for the first time on screen.
The Ramleela director has offered Shahid Kapoor the role of king of chittor in Padmavati, while deepika will essay the titular role. Ranveer Singh will also be a part of the film and will play Allauddin Khilji.
Well, let’s see if Shahid accepts the role. If he does, then it would be his first period drama and biopic of his career.
