Shreyas Iyer's brilliant half-century gave the hosts hope throughout as they needed five runs off the last ball. However, Iyer couldn't time the ball well and was dismissed for 57 runs. Chasing a low total of 143 runs, Delhi got off to a disastrous start as they lost three wickets in the first six overs.
