IAEA ready to inspect North Korea, ending nuclear program will be easy: Amano
  • 6 years ago
The International Atomic Energy Agency says it's ready to send inspection teams into North Korea if the regime's upcoming summits with Seoul and Washington go well.
IAEA chief Yukiya Amano said Thursday that his agency is ready to inspect North Korea's nuclear sites if asked.
Amano added that while dismantling the North's nuclear program would be easy,... they will need a safe and firm agreement on denuclearization.
The Director General has previously stressed the importance of inspections in order to make denuclearization possible.
