S. Korea-China to resume discussions on fisheries cooperation
  • 6 years ago
South Korea and China are to resume discussions on fisheries cooperation,... nearly two years after talks were halted.
Foreign affairs sources say the two countries will hold their tenth South Korea-China meeting on fisheries cooperation in China next week.
Illegal Chinese fishing boats in the West Sea is one of the key issues Korea has been raising... and will likely bring up again in the coming discussions.
The last meeting took place in Gwangju in July 2016, before the meetings were stopped after relations between Seoul and Beijing soured following the deployment of the THAAD missile defense system in South Korea.
