Ingredients:\r

To Grind\r
Coriander seeds, gram dhal -1 tea spoon each, jeera -1/2 tea spoon, pepper, methi seeds 1/4 spoon each, red chilly -6 nos, coconut -1 tea spoon, big onion, tomato-1 each, curry, coriander leaves, ghee.\r

Steps to grind:\r
In 1/2 spoon of ghee fry coriander seeds, gram dhal, pepper, jeera, methi seeds, red chilly. Add curry leaves keep aside. In 1/2 spoon of ghee fry onion, tomato, coconut, coriander leaves. Put all together add some water & make it as a paste.\r

Ingredients for Sambar\r

Cooked thuvar dal 3/4 th cup, big onion, tomato each -1 no, 2 inch of tamarind pulp, oil, mustard seed, salt, asafoetida, curry, coriander leaves, grinded masala.\r

Steps\r
In 2 spoons of oil fry mustard seed, asafoetida. Add onion, fry add curry leaves, tomato fry, add grinded masala & 1/2 cup of water, cook for 3 mts. Add tamarind pulp & allow to boil. Add mashed dhal, dhal water, salt, allow it to boil, add coriander leaves.\r
