A poorly positioned road sign that has been in place since the A9 Bypass was built in 1993 has now been removed after 24 years, as the council recently reassessed the site and concluded that the previous design did restrict the view of oncoming traffic and is also duplicate sign to the signs already located at the entrance to the slip road, meaning that the sign could be removed. This has improved the sight lines of cars joining the A820 after leaving the A9, leading to increased road safety.
