Dean Heller Says Net Neutrality is a Bad Thing...Should I Believe Him?

  • 6 yıl önce
I'm totally confused about the issue of "net neutrality." Almost everyone I know supports the concept, which to my understanding just means that internet providers can't charge more (or less) for content depending on the source and type.

But there is a apparently a big anti-neutrality faction, too -- and why is that? Who would be against the idea of equal access to information?

All I know is, the Government is against it, and that makes me a little suspicious! So I called my Senator, Dean Heller, to express my opinion that net neutrality should be preserved (mostly thanks to online peer pressure exhorting the public to "CALL YOUR POLITICIANS AND TELL THEM YOU SUPPORT NET NEUTRALITY!")...and this was the response I got from Senator Heller.

Now I'm more confused than ever! Anything with a bombastic name like the "Restoring Internet Freedom Order" *HAS* to be total B.S.....right?

It smells to me like there is more money to be made in abandoning net neutrality.....and so the fat cats will end up getting their way, one way or another. And my internet bill will undoubtedly go up, because of all the videos I upload :-(
