Extreme stomach cleansing yoga technique - Vastra Dhauti

Vastra is the Sanskrit word for cloth and dhauti means cleansing. Vastra Dhauti is another cleansing kriya specifically meant to cleanse the stomach done on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. It is pretty much like Vaman Dhauti, except that here a muslin cloth is used in place of water. This stomach cleansing method involves swallowing a soaked cloth (in lukewarm water) of twenty-two feet long and two-and-a-half inches wide to the mouth. Come back up again and slowly pull out the cloth using your hand. This technique is not recommended for amateurs and should only be done under the guidance and supervision of an experienced yoga teacher. This exercise is mainly intended to remove mucus and other waste products from the oesophagus (the gullet) and the stomach. It is also believed to help assists in curing all skin diseases, including leprosy, tumours, an enlarged spleen, liver, common fever, respiratory disorders and Improves digestion.
