Amid mounting criticism and strike calls, the Centre has filed a petition seeking review of the Supreme Court (SC) judgment diluting the SC/ST Act. This comes as several organisations have called for a countrywide bandh in protest against the SC order. The pan India protests have intensified and at several places have turned violent. Cars along with properties have been vandalised in parts Rajasthan, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
