BJP delegation in riot-torn Asansol; team constituted by BJP chief Amit Shah

A four-member team of BJP leaders reach riot-torn Asansol in West Bengal. Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, MPS Om Mathur, Roopa Ganguly and VD Ram to take stock of the situation. The team as constituted by BJP Chief Amit Shah and on their return to Delhi they will submit a report to Shah. It is, however, doubtful whether the BJP team will be allowed entry in the riot-affected areas of Asansol by the state police. Prohibitory orders remained in force even as life was limping back to normal in southern parts of the town.
