A dramatic way to mark the 50th anniversary for the release of 1968 Steve McQueen movie 'Bullitt', a special edition version of the Ford Mustang GT was introduced in January at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Created on a 2019 example of the Ford pony car, the 480-horsepower Bullitt Mustang recreates the essence of the 1968 Mustang GT that appeared in the iconic movie known for its thrilling car chase in San Francisco. Available in Black Shadow or Dark Highland Green, the 2019 Ford Bullitt Mustang features unique grillework, 19-inch classic torque thrust aluminum wheels and Brembo brakes with red calipers. A special electronic package, MagneRide suspension and Recaro leather seats are also included with the hardtop coupe.
The 2019 Bullitt Mustang will be available as a limited edition vehicle. Pre-sold at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction in Scottsdale, VIN 001 raised $300,000 for charity.
