with an austerity crutch (only one, apparently hard-working families demanded it), a bucket for kicking, financial times cut to paper dolls reading 'provoked to madness by the brutality of wealth' (a quote from engels conditions of english working classes), crime-scene tape & coal from newcastle we’ll examine erasures of memories, reclaim voices and offer urgent and defiant poetic truths - acts of remembering needed more urgently than ever.  inspired by one of our closest friends whose most important life-lesson came 75 years ago when she was told:  ‘never speak with yr mouth-half full.  fill it first & then speak for greatest effect.’ front rows you are warned! this half-hour performance mixes live / disability art with spokenword and visual poetry into a powerful and unique blend of humorous yet passionate creative resistance. this show from gobscure was developed thanks to a camden peoples theatre bursary allowing us to be part of their common ground festival. arc stockton also provided us with a residency to develop the work further
