Footage of deadly Uber self-driving crash released

Video of the first self-driving car crash that killed a pedestrian showed how the autonomous Uber failed to slow down.

Newly released dashcam footage shows the collision that killed Elaine Herzberg in Tempe, Arizona.

Police have released two videos of the case, one showing the driver's view through the windshield, while the other video showed the interior of the autonomous Volvo XC90 SUV.

When the incident occured the SUV was in autonomous mode with a human operator on board for emergency.

Following the incident, Uber suspended North American tests of its self-driving vehicles, which are currently going on in Arizona, Pittsburgh and Toronto.
