And this event was also the final race for the North Korean athletes at the PyeongChang Paralympics before they return to the North on Thursday.
Ma Yu-chol and Kim Jong-hyon participated in the men's 1-point-1-kilometer sitting sprint.
But with Ma coming in at 3-minutes-59-point-48 seconds,..... and Kim at 4-minutes and 23-point-87 seconds, they ranked 31st and 32nd, respectively,... out of the 36 skiers,.... failing to qualify for the semi-final round.
The two had also skied in last Sunday's 15-kilometer sitting cross-country event where they finished last.
But regardless of the results, their participation was significant as it was the first ever appearance by North Korea at the Winter Paralympics.
