Delicious Bagharj, Armenian sweet bread or Id rather call it a pastry, since its not made with any kind of yeast. Has no bread taste to me. Shame to say, I havent made this sweet bread myself, up until now , nor I recall my grandmothers baking it. But when I tasted it, strangely, it was so familiar , so close to my tastebuds and why not, to my heart.\r
Traditionally this Armenian sweet bread is baked in tandoori, women who bake the bread, lastly when the fire is down, would bake the sweet breads or pastries such as Gata, Nazook, Bagharj, Sini. I came across to my instagram friends post for this Armenian sweet bread and couldnt help to try making it. We all loved so much, therefore Im sharing the recipe and hope youll love it too.
