Batman The Dark Knights Tumbler and Bat-Pod Drive Away at Tulsa Mayfest

May 17, new - Went to lunch outside our Bonozo app development studio () and . Behold!, The Dark Knights Tumbler and Bat-Pod were on full display for Tulsas Mayfest! We decided to get some footage of the Tumbler ually driving, so waited until they departed, and this is what we captured.\r
\r
NOTE! Around the halfway point are *many* Tumbler engine revving sounds that should *not* be missed!\r
\r
FUN FACTS!\r
The Tumbler Tour crew was nice and informative. Some of the tidbits we picked up are:\r
1) Tumbler can reach 100mph.\r
2) Tumbler has gas-powered fuel cell for stunt safety. Gas intake is starboard (can be seen in video)\r
3) Not allowed to see the cockpit. Has racing seats. Cockpit shots in film are a different set.\r
4) Car has many blind spots. Driver sometimes navigated by radio. No rear view.\r
5) Actual primary Tumbler used in The Dark Knight film. There are few others, still in crates in the U.K.\r
6) Tumbler is too wide to fit in trailer.\r
6) Bat-pod has very unique design. Steer by pushing front tire, not leaning (see beginning of video). Radiator in rear. No critical need for a kickstand, stands upright due to tire width. Runs but is pushed, not driven, into the trailer (Tumbler is driven).\r

Enjoy!\r

(Please excuse the shakiness. Recorded on a Samsung Galaxy S2. You know how it is.)\r
