I'm very impressed with Kamala Appel's expertise – it spans both the business world and the video/Hollywood world, which is an impressive spread. She can cross over between those worlds with ease. This course speaks very clearly to business owners, and easily integrates them into the world of making videos for themselves. I have never written a script previously, but these lessons led me to brainstorming and and eventually even writing my first script. Once the leap was made, I realized it wasn't as daunting a task as it had seemed before. The “Pre-Production” section of this course was especially helpful on getting me on my feet in that way. The idea of a storyboard for a small business related video was a foreign concept to me before going through this course. “Stand Out and Move Up with Effective Web Video” is not only good for completing in one day, but to keep as a reference as well. The actual filming instruction Appel has included here is filled with precise and detailed tips.
I plan to keep watching it repeatedly, to keep the information fresh in my mind, as I know the material such a camera angles and depth of field will be of the utmost use once I get my hands on the necessary recording equipment. Bravo to you, Kamala, for combining all of your expertise into one lecture series that is easily accessible and efficiently presented. I have every intention of applying all that you have taught me in the near future.

If you are small business owner or manager, this course is ideal for learning the ins and outs of web video marketing. I own a company with four store locations. The biggest problem was that we were not showing up in Google's organic search results. This course enlightened me to the reasons why not. The tips, suggestions, and tutorials regarding SEO are invaluable.
Everything in this presentation was well-organized and thought out. The instructor was very articulate and spoke at a nice, steady pace. This made it simple to understand and comprehend the material. Furthermore, the way the course was designed, it was easy to follow and very informative. You can tell that she has combined her academic and real world experiences. While she has the depth of knowledge gleaned from school, the material is not presented in a theoretical or pedantic way. Instead, her practical real world experience really provides instant credibility for businesses.
After viewing this course, I feel excited to producing my first web video. I now see that people do not find it tacky or silly, as long as you follow the outline provided. I feel the money I spent on this course was well worth the investment.
