The Nasdaq rose around half-a-percent to finish at 7,013-point-5.
Shares in Korea were mixed ,... with the benchmark KOSPI finishing about ten points higher, or zero-point-4 percent at 2,395-point-1,... largely on foreigners snapping up Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix stocks.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ closed over one-and-a-half percent lower at 829-point-3.
