Italian heavy-prog band from Naples formed in late 1960s. "Sirio 2222" released in 1970 was their first album of two. Raw-edged heavy rock influenced by Zeppelin, Hendrix, Yardbirds, inspired by hard edges musical space. Overhelming power and good melodies, droning acid rock, whirling guitars, fuzzed bass and heavy pounding drums. The long final psychedelic suite with oriental influences"Missione Sirio 2222" narrates of a spaceship wreckage and is sandwiched between an acoustic intro and outro.
