"סואיסידל פרניטשר" הוא הרכב אוונגארד תל אביבי, דואו גיטרה תופים אינסטרומנטאלי המשחק על ז'אנרים כגון: פוסט, מת' ואינדי רוק. הוקם על ידי גיטריסט אבינועם שטרנהיים (גיטריסט להקת לבנון) ומתופפת אלחנדרה לוי. הם נפגשו לקראת סוף לימודי התואר הראשון של שניהם ב-2008. אבינועם שטרנהיים, כעת בוגר תואר שני לאמנות. אלחנדרה לוי בוגרת מכללה לקולנוע ואנימציית סטופ מואשן. החיבור ביניהם היה מיידי בעקבות תחומי העניין והתפישה המאוד וויזואלית המשותפת שלהם לגבי מוזיקה, המאפשרת להם להתבטא באופן חזק, ישיר ולא מתפשר בנגינתם. הם מיצרים דימויים סיפורים ורגשות בצורה סוחפת טוטאלית וכנה, הדינאמיקה הזוגית בניהם מייצרת מתח אינטימי גבוה הדוחקת את המאזין אל קצה הדריכות וההקשבה. הסאונד והנגינה שלהם מחוספס ומלא תשוקה, יש בהופעתם עוצמות גדולות של מילוי החלל והתפרקות רגשית של מורכבת החיים ואיבוד שליטה אל תוך השחרור מנטאלית. צמצום הכלים המוזיקלי שלהם לכדי שני כלים בלבד, ללא שירה, מייצר תחושה של רישום עיפרון במרחב של מבנים מונמנטאליים מורכבים והרוסים למחצה, מעיין שילוב של קונסטרוקטיביזם ואקספרסיביות יחדיו.
המוזיקה שלהם מנסה לבטא יותר ממה שהמאזין מסוגל לעקל ברגע נתון ובכך להביא אותו אל מצב של הצפת החושים, מצב אקסטאטי.
הם הוציאו שני אלבומים ועכשיו הם על הקצה שלה הוצאת אלבום שלישי שיקרא "Unstable Balance".
“Suicidal Furniture” are an avant-guard drums-guitar duo from Tel Aviv, with a post/meth/indie-rock sound. Guitarist Avinoam Sterenheim (ex “Lebanon”) and Drummer Alexandra Levi met in 2008, as they were finishing their undergraduate studies. A recent graduate of Bezal’el Academy of Arts’ MFA program, Avinoam’s musical career runs parallel to his work as a sculptor, Alexandra has a degree in film and stop-motion animation. The two were immediately drawn to one another, sharing the kind of visual approach to music which colors their unique, uncompromising and powerful expression. Known for their charged yet intimate dynamic, they concoct images, stories and raw feelings that carry the listener away in a total experience. Their sound, raw and passionate, fills their live performances with a deconstructing, irresistible force, and a liberating loss of control, while the instrumental, wordless minimalism leaves the impression of a pencil-sketch among the ruins.
“Suicidal Furniture’s” music will always try an express more than a listener can take-in in one go. It is an explosion aimed at senses and mind, a form of ecstasy.
They have recorded 2 albums, and now they are on the brink of a third album that will be named "Unstable Balance".
