This incredible 17 meter tall open-air structure nestled in Kew Royal Botanical Gardens is The Hive. Through an immersive sound and visual experience The Hive encapsulates the plight of the honey bee and the importance of pollination in feeding the planet. The 40 tonne installation is made from thousands of pieces of aluminium which create a lattice effect and is fitted with hundreds of LED lights that glow and fade as a unique soundtrack hums and buzzes around you. Inside you can experience the Hive come alive as the multi-sensory elements respond to the real-time activity of bees in a beehive behind the scenes at Kew.
