And all my dreams

This AMV is based on footage from Saint Seiya, and a song by Mylene Farmer, a (rather famous) French singer. In fact, this AMV should have premiered at AX 2002, but the authors didn't manage to put it in the format demanded by AX's rules. So it didn't make it then, and as none of the authors have attended AX since 2002, well it's never been released. The source is video tapes (if only we had had DVDs at the time...we didn't), which may explain some weird things (although, it's not unpleasant, all things considered). Whims of fate helping, I stumbled upon a backup of the video stored on my hard drive, and decided to finish the encoding and all that jazz (it's so much easier in 2008...). So here you are.

As to the contents, this video focuses on three characters (Kido Saori/Athena, Virgo Shaka and Andromeda Shun), and one in particular (Andromeda Shun). The story it tells isn't a happy one, matching with the song's lyrics (some are translated in the video to help non French-speakers, hopefully in a way that flows with the video). It's not the Saint Seiya canon, and never claimed to be.

When watching, please remember the year in which it was made, and please be indulgent with the authors, who probably had no idea what they were doing at the time (and still don't, but that's another matter).

With a bit of luck, people who know the show will enjoy the video, and those who don't know Saint Seiya, or only know of it through the horror called "Knights of the Zodiac" will have their interest sparked, and will try to look into this old, but fantastic anime.
