At just 17 years old Tia Blanco is heading to Tahiti to face the beast at Teahupoo. However, the weather has other plans and non-stop wind and rain keep conditions bad for most of the trip. In the end it comes down to one session for Tia to either get one of the barrels of her life or the beating of the trip.
