Film Maker Chris Nemes from zen film works, had the privilege of meeting a big wave surfer local to Hossegor and interview him to get into his mind and what he loves about charging big waves in the winter in France. Meet Guillaume Mangiarotti. Guillaume is known for being a charger and it was only during the making of this film we realised just how big he really goes. Guillaume is living at the Grand Plage of Hossegor SW France, right in front of the famous heavy beach break, La Graviére. With his brother as an expert tow-in jet-ski pilot and rescue specialist, Guillaume has had the perfect recipe to becoming a big wave rider, and no better place to hone his skills like Hossegor in winter, when the swell rarely dips below 3 metres.
Filmed on a canon 5D Mk3, lenses are 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm primes.
