Always being a lover of music and poetry, it wasn't until 1994 when Albert decided to enter a local teen talent competition at the age of 19 that Olton's musical interest heightened. He was spotted there by the musical director of the FX Band who asked him to join the band as the lead male vocalist, and together they performed on the hotel circuits and clubs for the next two years.

At age 21, Krosfyah asked him to join the frontline with Edwin Yearwood to tour the US as well as the entire Caribbean. With the band, he performed alongside Machel Montano, Iwer George and many other Calypso stars.

After collaborating with Krosfyah, Albert Olton decided to concentrate on his own career and started writing material for his first calypso band Dinamik which landed him a yearly contract working on a cruise and travelling the world.

In 2003, he was invited to perform with Eden and as he strengthened his faith of Rastafari, his musical direction changed too for a more conscious message.

In 2005, Albert decided to dedicate his talent to reggae music and performed as a lead singing rhythm guitarist with reggae bands such as Mo' Lava (directed by James Lovell), Third Stone (with lead vocalist Melody Man) and Fully Loaded (with Buggy Nhakente and Daniel Medford). Albert formed his own band, Revalayshun, in 2011 and the band currently plays every Saturday night at High Rock Café, Bathsheba, St Joseph Barbados.

Albert also plays bass guitar in the jazz band Blast.

Albert Olton is now completing his forthcoming album entitled "Human Rights".
