Inspired by the need to express himself as a singular voice comes this personal project from Lima, Peru.
Honest and simple, conveys heartfelt music meaningful thoughts about what it is to grow feeling left out and lost in the world.
Formed in 2012 by Peruvian composer and singer Rodolfo Caceres, the project released their debut album in 2013; recorded and produced by Giovanni Rossi (Laguna Pai, Las Amigas De Nadie), Mixed by Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, U2, INXS, Robert Plant, Quiet Company, etc.) and Mastered by Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, RHCP, Muse, Fiona Apple, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, etc.)
In just 2 years of existence, Wolves As Friends has been recognized as one of the best new acts to come out of Lima. Having reached Finals and Semi-Finals of several international competitions such as UK SONGWRITING CONTEST, INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION and UNSIGNED ONLY MUSIC COMPETITION. Also, having done very well outside Peru with a Promo-Tour for the album in 2013, with 5 shows in NYC, 3 in Toronto as part of the official line-up of the CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK and a very successful US college radio exposure.
In early 2014 the project traveled to Austin, TX to work on their upcoming LP; Produced by Matt Noveskey and Mixed Tim Palmer.
This next album shows a wider musical spectrum, an even more honest approach to music and collaborations from both US and Peru. The LP is expected to be released by the second half of the year.
Wolves As Friends returned to Lima on February to perform a very successful 'Farewell' show for 'Small Goodbyes'; their debut album.
Currently the project is preparing their 2014 Promo-Tour, beginning in Austin for SXSW, going through New Your and ending in Toronto; where they have been invited again for the CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK in May.
Beyond perfection this young project is founded in expressing themselves without apologies or censure, but at the same time trying to connect at the deepest and more essential level.
