Melbourne based singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, writes and performs original songs in a 2-piece with long time friend and collaborator Joshua Barber. In recent times has worked and toured as a stage musician with Big Scary and has appeared on stage with the likes of Bernard Fanning, Dick Diver, New Gods, Feist, The Lucksmiths and for many years has been a core member of The Guild League.
Gus grew up in the folk music scene of central Victoria and toured the country visiting folk festivals with the family band. Guitar and fiddle were forced into his hands as a young kid but he decided to play saxophone instead. After over a decade of playing sax in bands all over the country he returned to his folk roots and picked up a guitar again. Nowadays Gus spends most of his time writing and performing his original songs and touring with Big Scary playing bass, keyboards, and saxophone.
His debut album 'No Bread After Breakfast' was recorded at The Aviary Recording Studios in 2013.
