Silktones are a dynamic North Queensland duo. Jim McCabe and Shirley Lynn are seasoned performers who play an ecclectic mix of songs with home grown originals drawing on a fusion of genre styles including country, blues, light rock, folk, pop and contemporary. With the independent release of their EP, “Liberty” six (6) catchy tunes feature elements of slide, swing blues, folk and easy listening country grooves – available on iTunes, CD Baby. Silktones also play from a broad repertoire of songs from various music styles spanning across the last 5 decades to contemporary times providing entertainment to suit all occasions.. They’ve been mixing it up in and around North Queensland for over four (4) years playing at local venues, functions, festivals and events.
