Neslihan Engin is an Istanbul-based singer/songwriter, producer and composer. She studied Political Science and then obtained a masters degree in Sound Engineering and Design.
She started playing piano at the age 8 and music has been the dominant survival strategy in her life since then. Besides piano, she also plays guitar and accordion. She composed her first pop song at 12. She played keyboard with several local bands, one of them was Siddhartha, the first Turkish psychedelic rock band. She worked at studios as sound engineer. She started to sing professionally a long later, because she was too shy to raise her voice and tell her stories.
She has two studio albums (Ruhum Su Aldi, released in 2010 and Yara, released in 2014) and has previously worked with several local artists as sound engineer, composer, arranger and pianist. As a singer/songwriter, she tells real stories from her life.
She also runs a small music school where she gives piano and vocal lessons to children and adults.
