Diuen que una retirada a temps és una victòria, però mai no agrairem suficientment que Retirada! hagi estat valent i signi el seu segon llarg durada: ‘Victoria | Derrota' (Autoeditat, 2016). Un disc que juga amb conceptes antagònics, sense veure's cohibit per cap límit; ja sigui a l'hora de barrejar gèneres, estils, idees i afegir-hi capes a través de la loopstation. El duo barceloní ens porta una nova manera d'entendre el post-rock, amb melodies lleugeres que sostenen ben amunt lletres que parlen del dia a dia, convertides en himnes.
They say that a timely retreat is a victory, yet we could never thank Retirada! (trad. Retreat!) enough for their boldness and the fact they just penned down ‘Victoria | Derrota’ (trad. ‘Victory | Defeat’) (Self-published, 2016). An album that plays with opposite concepts and musical genres. The duo from Barcelona unfolds a new way to understand post-rock, with loops and light-weighted melodies that hold warmly lyrics about the daily routine, making them memorable hymns.
