Daira is a rock band based in Mumbai. Formed in late 2014, the band released it’s debut self-titled album within a year of inception. The album received critical acclaim nationwide and was declared as the second-best release of 2015 by Rolling Stone Magazine.
Daira has been performing across the country in music and college festivals, as well as various clubs. After winning the Mumbai leg of Hornbill on Tour in 2015, Daira went to Hornbill Festival and shared stage with some of the best bands of the world. The band was recently declared as one of the Top 4 bands of India by Sennheiser. The recently released music video was made entirely out of cut-out animation and was well received by the audience.
The music of Daira talks about various human emotions and has many elements which cannot be restricted into one particular genre. We sing about freedom, love and nothingness. With music and art, Daira endeavours to spread love and positive vibes across the globe.
