Gli Amarcord sono una storica formazione bolognese, big band di nove elementi, quasi una piccola orchestra: pianoforte, fisarmonica, trombe, percussioni, basso, chitarre, tastiere che portano il ritmo della musica balcanica, con un occhio al dixieland, e con l’influenza inconfondibile di suggestioni legate al mondo felliniano. Alle spalle due dischi: "Vorrei dirti di più" (1996) e "Il viaggiatore degli astri" (2002). Dopo una lunga pausa, nella quale ha visto la luce il lavoro solista del leader Igor Macchia (“L’amore non ha regole”),insieme a molti altri lavori scanditi da formazioni diverse a seconda delle esigenze live, come ad esempio per Balcony tv Bologna.
The Amarcord are a historic formation from Bologna, a nine - element big band, almost a small orchestra: piano, accordion, trumpet, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards that bring the rhythm of Balkan music, with an eye on the dixieland, Unmistakable influence of suggestions related to the Felline world. Behind him two records: "I would like to tell you more" (1996) and "The traveler of the stars" (2002). After a long break, in which the solo work of Igor Macchia ("Love has no rules"), along with many other works marked by different formations according to live needs, such as Balcony tv Bologna.
