PRESENTED BY MATT CALDER

“A great talent indeed” Bristol After Dark August 2016.

Sam Green is an independent UK artist from Devon. The music Sam creates both with his band and as a solo artist is eclectic and progressive with a firm grounding in roots and americana. His dynamic vocal style and virtuosic, radical approach to the guitar, come together as a vehicle in which to explore lyrical topics of travel, social injustice and anti-capitalism while telling stories of love, hurt and redemption.

Returning in 2017 to mark the release of his first full length album, Sam will be touring and playing a variety of solo and full band shows.

The 2016 release of Sam Green and the midnight heist’s “Factory Studios Sessions EP” was met with huge enthusiasm as Sam and his band lit up the summer festival circuit starting with a headine slot at The Isle of Wight Festival in June and finished by a closing the BBC Introducing stage at Looe music festival.

A must see for fans of Xavier Rudd, Iron and Wine and The John Butler Trio.

2016 was a big year over all. Sam was featured in session for BBC Introducing in Devon where they described his performance “one of the best sessions this year” Sam also played some big solo shows opening for Hayseed Dixie and playing several festivals including Secret Garden Party, Boomtown and Fieldview festival where he was described by Bristol After Dark as “a great talent indeed”
