Tips For Prospecting
Be the type of person you would want to join and be around. One of the cool things about network marketing is you get to chose who YOU want to work with. So if you want to work with positive people, you need to be a positive person.
Be excited, when you are prospecting. People are attracted to people with energy. I know personally, I love to work with and be around, upbeat positive people.
Make This One Change
Make the conversation about them. I made this mistake when I first got started. I used to think that the company I was in was so great that all someone had to do was see a presentation then they would sign up on the spot. I now know better.
What I should have done was ask more questions about them to help me figure out if they had some type of problem that I could provide a solution to. No one cares about how great your product or compensation plan is, all they care about is what’s in it for them. So make the conversation all about them.
How To Prospect Negative People
If you stay in network marketing for any length of time more than likely you are going to come across someone who is negative and just complain about their life, the situation they are in or some event that has happened.
In the past, I would not pay any attention to a person when they were negative, just kinda blew them off. I’ve always been a glass half full type of person. But after going through a training from Tom Big Al Shreiter my mindset has changed. I learned an easy technique that will either get them asking you about your business or changing their conversation to something else.
Most people will tell you to stay away from negative people and I agree with them to a certain degree, but there is a network marketing invitation script that you say to them to ask you to check out your presentation.
