The Congress has cried foul over the date of the Gujarat Assembly Election 2017. The party alleged that the Modi government is pressurising the Election Commission to delay the polls in the state. The EC was scheduled to announce the dates for Himachal and Gujarat polls, but it only announced the dates for Himachal.
