After languishing at the bottom of the team standings, Philips Gold is now part of the log jam in the middle of the rankings after carving out their 2nd win in the Philippine SuperLiga 2015 after beating the 2nd ranked squad Foton Tornados via 5 sets: 25-18, 24-26, 25-21, 15-25, and 15-13 on Saturday at the Cuneta Astrodome. It was a nip and tuck affair between the two teams right from the start up to last set. It was the Great Wall of China-like net defense of Philips that changed the game in the 5th set.
